Our Team

Born and raised in Dubai, Dr. Heba Abouyoussef brings over 18 years of veterinary experience to her practice. She earned her Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Mansoura in Egypt in 2007. Shortly after, she relocated to Las Vegas, where she successfully passed the national board exam and obtained her ECFVG certification.

Dr. Abouyoussef has a strong professional interest in internal medicine and clinical pathology, combining diagnostic expertise with compassionate care. Her approach reflects a deep commitment to animal health and well-being.

Outside of work, Dr. Abouyoussef enjoys a dynamic lifestyle filled with outdoor activities, drawing, and playing piano. She’s also passionate about fitness and treasures time spent with her family, especially her two daughters.

Dr. Smo, originally from Northeast Ohio, first said she wanted to be a veterinarian when she was just 4 years old. She's spent the majority of her life in the veterinary field, having started shadowing at age 13 and she's never looked back. She graduated from Arizona State University completing her BS in biological sciences before earning her DVM from Washington State University in 2022. One thing Dr. Smo loves about veterinary medicine is the unique opportunity to help people through helping their animals. Her professional interests include anesthesia, soft tissue surgery, ultrasonography, and preventative medicine. When not at the clinic, Dr. Smo can be found cheering on the Golden Knights or spending time with her own fur babies including four cats (HoneyBear, Luffy, Remus, Albus) a golden retriever poodle mix (Finnegan), and an off-track thoroughbred (Chance). 

Paola Marrero Torres Was Born And Raised In Puerto Rico, Where Her Passion For Animal Care Began At An Early Age. She Completed Both Her Bachelor’s And Master’s Degrees At The University Of Puerto Rico–Mayagüez, Specializing In Animal Science And Dairy Cattle Reproduction. She Later Earned Her Doctor Of Veterinary Medicine From Ross University School Of Veterinary Medicine, Completing Her Clinical Year At The University Of Tennessee In Knoxville.

Paola Is Deeply Dedicated To Practicing Veterinary Medicine, Finding Great Purpose In Caring For Animals And Supporting The Families Who Love Them. Outside Of Work, She Cherishes Spending Time With Her Family, Friends, And Pets, And She Enjoys Exploring New Cuisines And Discovering Different Foods Whenever She Can. 

A Las Vegas native and third-generation veterinarian, Dr. Wesen graduated from Washington State University. Dr. Nick enjoys building relationships with his patients and clients alike. His professional interests include neurology, soft tissue surgery, and orthopedics. When not at the clinic, Dr. Nick can be found spoiling his own 4-legged children, currently including four cats, a golden retriever poodle mix, and an off-track thoroughbred, or cheering on the Golden Knights and Raiders. He is beyond excited to work with the team and give back to the Las Vegas community.
